The closest airport to Morzine is Geneva's Cointrin Airport sitting just across the border in Switzerland. The transfer time by road to Morzine is under an hour and a half and is an easy well sign posted drive.
There are other alternatives though, which means that one way or another, you can always get a flight that will bring you to within an easy driving distance of Morzine. There is Chambéry Airport, with a drive of under two hours. A small airport, expanded to serve the 1992 Winter Olympics, Chambéry airport had some initial difficulty establishing its role. For some time it was almost the private domain of Crystal Holidays, a UK package holiday company. With the development of low cost airlines things have improved, and today it serves nine destinations in Britain alone with over 700 flights during the 2005-6 ski season. Further away, Grenoble's Isère Airport has a transfer time of just under two and a half hours. Grenoble has recently seen an expansion of inbound flights from both Easyjet and Ryanair, although some other regional no-frills airlines have chosen to offer more flights to nearby Chambery or Lyon instead. Surrounded by snow-capped mountains, Grenoble is the largest city in the French Alps. With a slightly longer transfer time of just over two and a half hours, there is also Lyon's Saint Exupéry Airport located some 15 miles / 24 km southeast of Lyon, but still within easy reach of Morzine. Here is some useful information for these airports.

Several budget airlines offer flights to Geneva from regional UK airports during the winter ski season, however some may reduce their frequency during the spring and summer months. It is therefore advisable to check availability with the airlines concerned before selecting flights.
